WHO WE ARE

D.A.P.S. is a program designed to restore the lives of individuals whose potential has been broken by the toils and snares of life. Our target group includes the incarcerated, ex-offenders, youth, young adults & teens that are troubled and those that are in disadvantaged areas. In our present program we are working diligently with several other agencies and ministries in providing empowerment and leadership. D.A.P.S. Mentoring Program will continue to provide services on a daily basis by the way of Personal that will bring advancement to our communities.

D.A.P.S. will focus on the issues that plague this target group in and across our communities and to provide alternatives that will empower and assist them in moving from a life of negatives and dependency to a life of self-sufficiency, renewed spirits, and positive possibilities. Our objectives focus on several health and healing essentials such as social development, personal development, education, job readiness, financial management, work therapy, family healing and also on the important influence of spiritual awareness.  

VISION

D.A.P.S. (Developing Attributes Producing Success Mentoring Program) is a 501c(3) organization that has a vision to become a premier based program nationwide to empower and bring restoration to the lives of individuals.

MISSION

To provide resources that will produce empowerment for the participant and our communities. We provide transitional facilities for at- risk individuals, Empowerment Centers for our youth and teens and Schools for Training.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Program Participants will participate in a career development program that will increase their sense of responsibility, motivation and self-concept, will participate in a career development program that will increase their knowledge of career planning and preparation. Clients will participate in prevention programs and the skills developed in his program will increase their knowledge of relationships, parenting, anger management and personal development. 

 

Create a mentorship program facilitated by caring adults specializing in the areas of spirituality, education, physical and behavioral health. Educate youth on basic life skills and career choices that are reflective of their talents and desires. Assist youth/teens with identifying their purpose and produce teen leaders. Develop collaborations between the community, educational system and parents. Build character, self-esteem and identity.

 

Provide information on relationships, leadership, social etiquette and grooming. Increase parent, teacher and community awareness of positive related topics. Provide information concerning health, education and teach critical thinking skills for the future.
